SAMEDAY DRIVEAWAY OFFERED
Terms & Conditions of Sale - 2025/2026
1. Definitions
- "The Dealer" means RAVENOR CARS.
- "The Customer" means the purchaser of the vehicle.
- "The Vehicle" means the motor vehicle described on the invoice.
2. Vehicle Condition, Testing & Warranty
2.1 The Vehicle is sold as a used vehicle. All used vehicles may develop faults at any time due to age, mileage, and previous wear. By purchasing, the Customer accepts that the Vehicle is not new and components may fail without warning. The Dealer accepts no liability for faults arising after purchase unless covered by statutory rights.
2.2 Pre-Delivery Testing: The Dealer confirms that the Vehicle has been road-tested and inspected prior to sale to ensure it is functioning correctly at the point of handover. This does not guarantee fault-free motoring after purchase due to the nature of used vehicles.
2.3 Recommended Warranty: The Dealer recommends that all customers purchase an independent used-car warranty for additional protection against unexpected mechanical or electrical breakdown.
2.4 The following categories are excluded from warranty or return claims unless otherwise stated in writing:
- Wear-and-Tear Items (Excluded): Tyres, brake pads/discs, clutches, bulbs, wiper blades, suspension bushes, exhaust components, interior trim, and general consumables.
- Timing Components (Excluded unless sudden failure within service interval): Timing belts, timing chains, tensioners, pulleys, and water pumps are classed as maintenance items. Failures due to age or mileage are not covered.
- Electrical Components (Largely Excluded): Sensors, switches, window regulators, modules, infotainment systems, ECUs, wiring faults, and batteries are excluded unless sudden failure is confirmed.
2.5 Any warranty provided covers sudden breakdown only—not wear-and-tear, misuse, lack of servicing, or deterioration.
3. Customer Responsibilities
3.1 The Customer must ensure the Vehicle is suitable for its intended purpose.
3.2 The Customer must follow manufacturer service intervals and perform routine checks (oil, coolant, tyre pressure, brake fluid, etc.).
3.3 Continuing to drive the Vehicle after a fault becomes apparent may void any claim.
4. Faults, Diagnosis & Repairs
4.1 Any suspected fault must be reported to the Dealer in writing with reasonable opportunity given for inspection.
4.2 The Dealer may repair, offer a remedy, or decline responsibility depending on findings.
4.3 Third-party repair invoices will not be reimbursed unless authorised in writing.
4.4 The Dealer is not liable for faults caused by misuse, modifications, poor repairs, neglect, accident damage, or ongoing use after a fault is known.
5. Returns, Rejections & Refunds
5.1 Statutory Rights (Consumer Rights Act 2015): Nothing in these Terms affects the Customer's statutory rights.
5.2 Non-Statutory Returns / Customer Choice Returns: If the Customer requests a return for reasons not covered by statutory rights, including change of mind or faults not verified as qualifying CRA defects, the following charges apply:
- Admin Fee: £450
- Usage Charge: £1.20 per mile driven since purchase
- Any post damages: Variable
These amounts will be deducted from the refund.
5.3 Refund Processing Time: In the unusual event that a refund is approved, the Dealer requires up to 21 working days from the date the Vehicle is returned to process the refund.
5.4 Vehicle Condition on Return: The Vehicle must be returned in similar condition to the point of sale, allowing for reasonable wear.
6. Part Exchange
6.1 Valuation is based on the Customer's description. Incorrect descriptions may result in adjustment.
6.2 The Customer confirms legal ownership and disclosure of any outstanding finance.
7. Ownership & Title
7.1 The Vehicle remains the property of the Dealer until full payment is received.
7.2 Title transfers only after cleared funds.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Dealer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including:
- loss of earnings
- travel expenses
- recovery costs
- accommodation
- inconvenience
except where required by law.
9. Governing Law
